Overview
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Sacred Sounds website, booking platforms, services, classes, private sessions, events, retreats, workshops, packages, gift cards, memberships, and related offerings. By accessing our website, booking a service, purchasing a class or package, attending a session, or otherwise interacting with Sacred Sounds, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Services
Sacred Sounds provides sound bath experiences, private sound experiences, group sessions, events, workshops, retreats, and related wellness offerings.
Our services are intended for relaxation, meditation, mindfulness, stress reduction, reflection, and general wellness support. Services may include exposure to sound frequencies, gongs, singing bowls, chimes, drums, percussion instruments, vibration, guided relaxation, low lighting, scents where applicable, mats, blankets, bolsters, and other sensory elements.
Offerings, schedules, instructors, facilitators, prices, and availability may change at any time.
2. Not Medical or Mental Health Care
Sacred Sounds does not provide medical care, mental health treatment, psychotherapy, diagnosis, counseling, physical therapy, or any licensed healthcare service.
Our services are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, disorder, injury, mental health condition, or medical condition. No information provided on our website, in our studio, during a session, through social media, by email, or by any Sacred Sounds representative should be considered medical advice.
You should consult a qualified healthcare provider before participating if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, have a mental health condition, have a history of seizures, sound sensitivity, hearing concerns, implanted medical devices, recent surgery, serious injury, trauma history, mobility limitations, or any condition that may be affected by sound, vibration, meditation, lying down, lighting, scents, or group wellness environments.
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
3. Assumption of Risk
By participating in any Sacred Sounds service, you acknowledge that wellness, meditation, sound, vibration, relaxation, group sessions, floor-based rest, and related activities may involve risks, including physical discomfort, emotional release, dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, sensitivity to sound, vibration, lighting, scent, or temperature, aggravation of existing conditions, slip/trip/fall injuries, or unexpected reactions.
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
4. Waiver and Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Sacred Sounds, its owners, employees, contractors, instructors, facilitators, agents, landlords, partners, affiliates, successors, and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to your participation in services, use of the website, attendance at events, or presence on the premises, except where prohibited by law.
This includes, without limitation, claims related to personal injury, emotional distress, property loss, illness, allergic reaction, scheduling issues, service dissatisfaction, or ordinary negligence, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive liability that cannot legally be waived under Rhode Island law.
5. Personal Responsibility and Conduct
You are responsible for determining whether a Sacred Sounds service is appropriate for you.
You agree to disclose relevant limitations, sensitivities, or concerns before participating; follow instructions and studio guidelines; stop participating if you feel uncomfortable or unwell; respect the space, staff, instructors, and other guests; use props, mats, blankets, and studio items safely; and avoid disruptive, unsafe, intoxicated, threatening, or inappropriate behavior.
Sacred Sounds reserves the right to refuse service, remove a participant, or deny entry to anyone whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, intoxicated, or otherwise inappropriate.
6. Booking and Payment
All bookings are subject to availability. Payment may be required in advance to reserve your spot. Prices, schedules, services, instructors, class formats, and availability are subject to change.
A booking is not guaranteed until payment is completed and confirmation is issued through our website, booking platform, invoice, or direct communication.
7. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds
Because Sacred Sounds has limited class sizes and reserved appointment times, the following policy applies unless otherwise stated in writing.
Group Classes: Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled or credited. Late cancellations within 24 hours, and no-shows are non-refundable.
Private Sessions: Private sessions require advance payment. Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance may be rescheduled. Late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.
Workshops, Events, and Retreats: Special events, workshops, retreats, and collaborations may have separate cancellation and refund policies stated at booking.
Packages and Class Passes: Packages and class passes are subject to the expiration date assigned at the time of purchase, and any unused classes remaining after the expiration date are non-refundable.
Gift Cards: Gift cards are non-refundable, not redeemable for cash, and may be used toward eligible Sacred Sounds classes, private sessions, events, workshops, or services, with any remaining balance
available for future use unless otherwise required by law.
Sacred Sounds reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify a class, private session, event, or workshop due to illness, emergency, weather, building conditions, low enrollment, instructor availability, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel a paid service, we may offer a refund, credit, or rescheduling option at our discretion, unless otherwise required by law.
8. Late Arrival Policy
Please arrive on time. Doors open ten (10) minutes before each session. Late entry may not be permitted once a session has started because it can disrupt the experience for other guests.
If you arrive late and cannot be admitted, your booking may be treated as a no-show and may not be refunded.
9. Age Requirements and Minors
Some Sacred Sounds services may be appropriate for minors, while others may be intended for adults.
Minors must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian may be required to attend, sign a waiver, or provide written consent. Sacred Sounds reserves the right to determine whether a specific service is appropriate for minors.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the behavior, safety, and supervision of minors attending any service.
10. Accessibility and Special Needs
We strive to create a welcoming and accessible environment. If you have accessibility needs, mobility limitations, sound sensitivity, scent sensitivity, injury concerns, pregnancy-related needs, or other considerations, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether reasonable accommodations are available.
11. Studio Rules
Guests are expected to respect the studio and other participants. Sacred Sounds may prohibit or restrict disruptive behavior, phone use during sessions, recording without permission, strong fragrances, food or drink in certain areas, alcohol, cannabis, illegal substances, unsafe use of instruments or props, harassment, discrimination, threats, or inappropriate conduct.
Sacred Sounds may refuse service or remove guests who violate these rules.
12. Personal Property
You are responsible for your personal belongings. Sacred Sounds is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged property.
13. Gift Cards, Packages, Promotions, and Discounts
Gift cards, class packages, discounts, promotional offers, and credits are subject to the terms stated at the time of purchase or promotion.
Promotions may not be combined unless expressly stated. Sacred Sounds may modify or discontinue promotions at any time.
Packages, credits, and gift cards may be non-refundable except where required by law.
14. Website Use
You agree not to misuse our website or digital platforms. You may not attempt to hack, damage, disrupt, or interfere with the website; use it for fraudulent or unlawful purposes; copy, scrape, reproduce, or exploit website content without permission; submit false or harmful information; or impersonate another person or entity.
We may restrict or terminate access to our website at any time.
15. Intellectual Property
All Sacred Sounds names, logos, text, images, videos, graphics, website content, class descriptions, service descriptions, social media content, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Sacred Sounds unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, sell, or use Sacred Sounds intellectual property without prior written permission.
16. Photos, Videos, and Marketing
Sacred Sounds may photograph or record certain classes, events, workshops, or studio activities for promotional, educational, or archival purposes.
We will make reasonable efforts to obtain consent before using identifiable images of guests in marketing materials. If you do not want to be photographed or recorded, please notify us before the session or event.
You may not record, photograph, or livestream a session, instructor, guest, or private experience without permission.
17. Third-Party Platforms
We may use third-party platforms for booking, payment, email, text messaging, analytics, advertising, social media, or other business functions.
Your use of third-party platforms may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and fees. Sacred Sounds is not responsible for the practices, security, errors, outages, or policies of third-party platforms.
18. No Guarantees
Individual experiences vary. Sacred Sounds does not guarantee any specific physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, financial, health, or wellness outcome.
Testimonials, reviews, or social media posts reflect individual experiences and do not guarantee that you will have the same result.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sacred Sounds and its owners, employees, contractors, instructors, facilitators, agents, partners, affiliates, successors, and assigns shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the website, booking of services, attendance at sessions, or participation in events.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sacred Sounds total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
20. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sacred Sounds and its owners, employees, contractors, instructors, facilitators, agents, partners, affiliates, successors, and assigns from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms, misuse of the website, conduct at a session or event, violation of law, or infringement of any rights of another person or entity.
21. Force Majeure
Sacred Sounds is not responsible for delays, cancellations, service interruptions, or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, emergencies, illness, power outages, building issues, acts of God, public health events, labor disputes, supply issues, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
22. Disputes and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms, the website, or Sacred Sounds services shall be handled in the state or federal courts located in Rhode Island, unless otherwise required by law.
23. Changes to Terms
Sacred Sounds may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
